Tickets are now on sale for Wychwood Open Door's 2nd Annual Community Trivia Night! Compete with your friends and neighbours in six rounds of family-friendly pop culture trivia to who has the biggest brain. CBC's Kevin Sylvester will emcee the evening while a different local celebrity calls each round of trivia. Prizes will be awarded to the top teams, and everyone will enjoy live music, a cash bar and snacks.
Tickets are $20 each or get a team of 10 together and buy a table for $200. To purchase your tickets, visit our table at the Saturday morning Wychwood Barns Farmers' Market (9am-12pm). Donate
As the economy weakened in 2008 and 2009, Wychwood Open Door saw a big increase in demand for its services. Heading into 2010, we are experiencing a 30% increase in demand for our services. In short: the Open Door needs the help of friends and neighbours like you. Please consider donating to the Open Door via CanadaHelps.org. For more information on how to donate, see the Donate page.
If you would like to make an in-kind donation, please contact the Open Door. In-kind items the Open Door always needs include food, dishes, mugs, clothing and your time.
Get Involved
Wychwood Open Door's Fundraising Committee is looking for volunteers. Whether you have a couple of hours to volunteer each week or each month, there is a role for you. Right now the committee is brain storming new ways to raise funds and will soon begin organizing events and promotions that raises Wychwood's profile in the community and raises much-needed funds for this great cause. For more information contact WOD board member Deborah Seaton at deborah.seaton "at" gmail "dot" com. Meetings are scheduled to be held on the third Monday of every month at World Class Bakers.
